"Blues at Eleven for Solo Instrument and Piano" Audio Sample
Enjoyed by all who perform this piece, “Blues at Eleven” was composed to help fill a gap between pieces for beginners and the rather difficult level of much contemporary music. “Blues at Eleven” is in the rather unusual time signature of 11/8 time - hence the title - though it is stylistically close to an authentic blues piece.
This piece is on the AMEB syllabi for Flute (4th grade) and Viola (5th grade).
There are alternative Instrument and Piano versions for Violin, Viola, Bb Clarinet, Bassoon, Bb and Eb Saxophones. All parts are included in the downloaded file.
This piece would suit performers of intermediate level.
