“4 Pieces for Guitar Solo” consists of four short performance pieces. The music is of a more modern style. The pieces can be played separately or as a collection. The title of each piece gives an indication as to the nature/meaning behind the music.

“Explain Yourself !” presents in a question and answer format. This is suitable for more advanced performers.

“Beats me !” reflects upon complete disinterest. Time and awareness simply passes by.

“Interlude” is a pensive and slow reflective piece that shouldn’t be hurried. It approximates to a  public examination Grade 3 piece suitable for solo performance. The substance of the piece are the cluster chords, produced by sustaining the cross-string notes of the short legato phrases.

“Slurred Speech” as the title suggests is a study of glissandos, hammer-ons and cross-string grace notes. This piece is suitable for more advances players.
